Desire and the Eye (III)
Nocturnes

At first I started just reacting to certain objects in my life. It was as if they were informing me that in them was some special quality that would reveal something I care very much about though when I started I had no idea what that would be. When I looked at the images I’d done for “Desire and the Eye” I realized that it was very much about my inability to see independently of what I feel. As if there is no way to separate the eye from the heart. That desire overcomes perception so that in the end we literally see what we want, sometimes to our advantage, sometimes not—in my case anyway.
